Why are my CC tips taxed and received on my paycheck?

Question by gemini74girl: Why are my CC tips taxed and received on my paycheck?
I feel like the tips I recieve from credit cards just disappear by the time taxes come out. Also the tips are placed under a category called “unsettled tips”. Doesn’t that mean that they’re withheld and not added???
