Question by coco_puff02: What are all the benefits of purchasing turbo tax?
When you pay the $ 19 or $ 40 price for the software, what services are you getting for your money. Can you use it to file both state and federal taxes. Once you purchase this software will you be charged a fee each time you file–or does it become “free” after the purchase. Can someone please tell me the benifits and disadvantages of this software. Is it a good investment?

I’ve advanced to a tax attorney now, but I highly advocate turbo tax, and get the deluxe version the top version if you can. One year I bought the cheap version and missed something obvious that the deluxe version caught every single time after.
It gives you state and federal, but it can’t give you state immediately because you have to tell it what state you live in first! It’s a great investment, and get the top version, and when you get it in subsequent years, it remembers previous information. It’s really good software.
