Question by Helen Scott: What’s the cheapest way to do your taxes?
I have pretty simple taxes this year (with the addition of a 1099-MISC). I tried the “free” version of Turbotax, but it wants to charge me $ 86.00!!! What’s the cheapest/easiest way to do my taxes? Should I take them to H&R Block? Should I buy a version of Turbotax? Help!
Edit: Because I have a 1099-MISC, I’m forced to upgrade to the basic version of TurboTax for $ 19.99.
