Has anyone used the "free session" of Turbo Tax, it's on Yahoo's homepage, If your filing the ez form???

Question by quick_sand: Has anyone used the “free session” of Turbo Tax, it’s on Yahoo’s homepage, If your filing the ez form???
How safe is that?????????
Especially typing in your social security number. When you see a “secure connection” with the little padlock on the bottom, is it really secure??? Would love to see if anyone else has used that or is just as concerned as I am….They say if it’s too good to be true, then it usually is….and “Free”, that’s what would make most of us want to use it, so “is” it safe……….

I used the Intuit Tax Freedom Project at..

http://turbotax.intuit.com/taxfreedom/

They offer free FEDERAL filing if..

You earned
$ 30,000 AGI
or less
(Adjusted Gross Income)

OR

You qualify for the
Earned Income
Credit
(with AGI up to $ 39,783)

OR

You served in 2007 as
Active Duty
Military
($ 54,000 AGI or less)

Plus Free STATE filing if:

You qualify for a FREE Federal return and are filing in one of the following Free File Alliance states:
AL, AR, AZ, GA, ID, IA, KY, MA, MI, MN, MO, MS, NY, ND, NC, OK,
OR, RI, SC, VT, WV

If your state does not sponsor a Free File Alliance, you can still prepare and file a state return within the Freedom Edition for only $ 9.95!*
*Credit card required.

I have used this in the past also and felt safe
